We have come to the difficult conclusion to discontinue operation of The Daily Dose Cafe. Our family has had many hardships in 2022 and the health of Joe, our owner/operator, has taken a priority in our lives. He physically cannot maintain the hours and workload he once did and being as small of a business as we are, we do not have the financial capacity to hire help.
We appreciate ALL of you for your support, encouragement and friendship.
While this decision was hard, we feel a relief to what had begun as a passion that quickly turned into a burden when Joe's health declined. We are at peace with this decision and know it's the right thing to do for our family.
With that being said, we will be looking for any interested parties to take over the operation and ownership of the business and/or we will begin to post items for sale in the coming days.
Again, THANK YOU for giving us a taste of business ownership, contribution to a community and purpose.

I had dreamed about this salad since this summer when I had it on a work trip in Virginia. Before we decided to close, I bought all the ingredients, candied the pecans, etc to do it as a special.

I just had to share! For pre-order & pick up, I present to you, the salad of my dreams:

Organic spring mix, craisins, candied pecans, organic pears, air fried goat cheese balls and organic aged balsamic vinaigrette. 🤌🏼

I heard a great reminder the other day to “choose your hard.”

Some hard is holding you back from the bigger picture while some hard is moving you forward. You have to make a conscious choice on which hard you will choose to tackle.

My hard was trying to run the shop with my brother while maintaining a full time job and being a caregiver for Joe and Liam. The choice I made is to focus on being the caregiver and being present with Joe, and our family, as he needs me and Liam to not see mommy so stressed.

Until then, please choose your hard that you can contribute to the greater good and livelihood of what really matters, friends, family and community❤️

With that in mind, Daily Dose Cafe will be begrudgingly, yet temporarily closed until further notice. We may try to do pop up events and all that we can until Joe is back on his feet, so keep an eye out through our social media outlets and word of mouth form our devoted customer base.

As always, we thank you, our understanding and accepting communtiy. We will do our best to keep you informed. If it wasn’t for you, our customers, our friends, and our family we would not exist. Thank you again JC, we will see you soon.

🚨 We are reopening tomorrow! 🚨

…with a few temporary changes.

Hours will be 8am - 1pm, Monday - Friday until further notice.

Our menu will be limited (but delicious)! Smoothies, weekly special soup and/or sandwich, baked goods and of course coffee!

This weeks special is one I’ve been dying to do: Chili and Cinnamon Rolls! A grade school favorite 😆

UPDATE:
As some of you may know, Joe (owner/operator) has dealt with medical issues since we opened the cafe in June. Last week, we discovered he would need a third spinal surgery, and it's scheduled for Monday, Oct. 24. We will be closed starting Saturday, Oct. 22.
We plan to reopen with help from myself, Karina (Joe's wife), and my brother, Zach, who has excellent culinary skills. Considering I work a full-time job and Zach is filling in when he can, we will be open and available as much as possible but may not offer a consistent schedule for the month of November.
Without a consistent schedule and availability, we ask that you consider a donation to help keep us afloat during this month of uncertainty. Any amount will help towards bills, food costs and paying our additional employee. This financial aid will also give Joe peace of mind that we can keep the doors open and waiting when he's back on his feet and ready to serve the great JCMO community again! We are already so humbled and honored by the support we've received along this journey; thank you!
