Just a reminder that the Sheriff's JeepFest Show N Shine event is scheduled for next Friday, September 4, 2026, in Downtown Jasper. For those of you who may be new to Pickens County (welcome!!) and are unfamiliar with this event, JeepFest is an annual event sponsored by the Sheriff's Foundation that raises money for a variety of local charities that support our youth here in Pickens County. Show N Shine puts the spotlight on 100 Jeeps that come in from all over the country - they will be staged along Main Street between Spring Street at the south end up to DB Carrol Street at the north end, and there will be a concert, vendors, food and beverages, and TONS of people!
The City will be closing roads and setting up detours in support of this event.
*Starting at 12noon - N Main Street between SR 53/W Church Street and DB Carrol Street will be closed. This includes Court Street and Depot Street.
*At 1:00PM, S Main Street between SR 53/W Church Street and Spring Street will be closed.
*At 4:30PM, all side streets will be closed (S East Street, N East Street, & Wall Street).
*At 5:00PM, the intersection of Main Street and SR 53/W Church Street will be closed.
Mark Whitfield Street and W Spring Street will remain open.
