We are looking for some individuals to fill a few teams on our Monday Senior League. Anyone who will be 50 years of age by December 31st of the present year are eligible to bowl. The Monday Seniors bowl every Monday starting August 24 at 1:00 p.m. Weekly fees are $10. The league currently has 18 teams. Free coffee available during league time. The Wiggy's saloon league is looking for 2 bowlers to fill a team. It is a 5 person men's league, bowl on Tuesdays at 6:15p.m. starting September 8. Didn’t get a chance to post yesterday so here are the last two pairs of lanes. On lanes 21-22 we have the Janesville Icons mural painted by James Richter in 2016 in remembrance of the Janesville General Motors assembly plant. On lanes 23-24 we have a picture from the Veterans memorial plaza featuring a large ship anchor. This stands as a monument honoring naval service members. This is also the home base of the Rock aqua Jays. We hope you enjoyed this tour of our new backdrops. Come down and see them in person this bowling season . In January we will be featuring a new backdrop design for you to enjoy. I’d like to thank Sara Latka who took all the photos that are featured over the lanes!

Today on lanes 19 and 20 we feature two must visit destinations in Janesville. Skelly’s farm and the Janesville performing arts center (JPAC). Skelly’s offers seasonal outdoor activities such as strawberry picking, sunflower fields, and my favorite fall activity, the impossible corn mazes, and there is so much more! And while you’re visiting, there are plenty of delicious treats to enjoy. JPAC is just across the river from us and offers various types of high quality entertainment such as theater performances, music, touring shows etc. if you haven’t caught a show at JPAC yet, add it to your destination list.

Today’s tour of our back drops takes us to lanes 17 and 18. When you think of what makes Janesville stand out, many would agree the rock aqua Jays put Janesville on the map. Known for pioneering many competitive milestones, the Rock Aqua Jays are 24 time national champions and have set the bar high with their record breaking pymamids.

Our north parking lot by the bus station is closed today as we had it coated. Please use the south lot by bowling pin sign to park. Continuing with our release party of our new backdrops. Today we are on lanes 15-16. The location of this one is pretty obvious. Back in 2019 we had a complete makeover done with the exterior of our business. We wanted the outside of the business to look as nice as the inside. The timing was perfect with the city revitalizing the down town at the same time.
