🎂 10 YEARS OF CAKE DECORATING. 🎂

It’s hard to believe that it’s been 10 years since I started decorating cakes. When I look back at where I started compared to where I am today, I honestly feel a little emotional. 🥹

What started as something I loved doing has grown into something I never could have imagined — my full-time job. And that is something I will never, ever take for granted.

Over the past 10 years, so many people have given me the opportunity to be part of their special moments. Birthdays, baby showers, weddings, anniversaries, graduations, first birthdays, celebrations big and small… you trusted me to create something that would be part of a memory you’ll keep forever. That means more to me than I can put into words. ❤️

I’m incredibly thankful for every single person who took a chance on me, placed an order, recommended me to a friend, shared a post, tagged me, left a review, or came back year after year. Every cake has played a part in getting me here.

And behind every small business owner is a village. To my family and friends who have encouraged me, supported me, listened to me talk about cakes way too much, helped me when I was overwhelmed, celebrated the wins, and believed in me even when I questioned myself THANK YOU . I truly couldn’t have done this without you.

I’m also so incredibly grateful for the community I live in now. The support, encouragement, referrals, and love I’ve received here have been beyond anything I could have imagined. You have welcomed my little business, watched it grow, and helped turn a dream into a reality. 🥰

Ten years ago, I never would have imagined that I’d be here today — running a growing business, baking and decorating cakes as my full-time career? Heck I thought I’d be on a boat in the Caribbean worrying about wind directions and guest arrivals!

I’m proud of how far I’ve come, grateful for every person who helped me get here, and so excited for everything that’s still ahead.

10 years down… and I’m just getting started. 🎂✨

At Captain Cakes our goal is to bring your sugary dreams come true! This beautiful couple’s wish was a lemon cake with fresh strawberry filling and a vanilla buttercream. Decorated with pale blue petals and flowers and traditional piping for a delicate touch that went seamlessly with their decor.
