Memorial Day is more than a long weekend, backyard barbecues, and the unofficial start of summer.

Today, we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to this country — including trailblazing Black heroes like the Tuskegee Airmen and the women of the 6888th Central Postal Directory Battalion, who fought for freedoms abroad while often facing inequality at home.

Their sacrifice reminds us that freedom isn’t guaranteed. As we gather with loved ones, may we reflect, remember, and recommit to the ideals they fought to protect.

We honor their legacy. We remember their sacrifice. ❤️🤍💙
