Akel's Deli - JEA Building we are a family owned and operated business that is dedicated in serving fresh quality food for lunc We’re pretty sure it will be to your satisfaction.

The first Akel’s Delicatessen opened in Merrick, New York in 1973 by three brothers (Ishak, Sami, And Marwan) who came to America with a dream to have a family restaurant. As the years past, the brother’s moved south and opened their first Jacksonville location in 1988. Today, sons and daughters along with extended family have continued with the “Akel Tradition” of quality food and great service.

Our Menu is designed for you to substitute or add additional items to make a unique sandwich, sub or wrap that you would enjoy. So come in and be creative, or just have one of our specialty sandwiches that is sure to knock your socks off! Akel's French Dip- house cooked Roast Beef (cooked med rare) with homemade aujus sauce and Swiss cheese on a sub w/ drink and Fries. $8.99

Siracha Pork tacos- pork butt cooked for 5 hours, then mixed with BBQ sauce and topped w/ siracha cole slaw and Frenchy fried onions topped with some more siracha mayo. Get 2 and a drink with chips for $9.99!
