I just realized I didn’t get this out this morning but thought I’d post it late rather than not at all.

Unfortunately, I’ve had to take another wellness day today. I’ll still be baking a few loaves of bread, but I won’t be offering regular café service or lunch specials.

I apologize for any inconvenience, and I appreciate your understanding! And I apologize to anyone who came in that I personally had to tell them we are closed and I couldn’t provide service today. (It just seems kind of awkward when I am standing right in front of them)

I’m dealing with some health-related side effects this morning, so I need to take the day to rest and recover.

We’re down in Spirit Lake today for the SPIRITual LAKE Wellness Expo, and we’re excited to spend the day surrounded by so many different people, businesses, ideas, and activities centered around wellness.

We brought along a few of our favorite Elevated Cup items to share, so if you’ve been curious about what we do, today is a good chance to stop by, say hi, and check things out.

There’s a lot happening throughout the day, with different vendors, demonstrations, activities, and plenty to explore, so we’re looking forward to seeing what everyone brought and meeting some new people along the way.

If you’re in the Spirit Lake area today, come spend some time at the Expo and make a day of it.

Today will be a bit of a Semi-Wellness Day at The Elevated Cup.

I’m going to be listening to my body and taking things a little slower today.

I’ll still be at the shop part of the day preparing for this weekend’s expo in Spirit Lake, and I’ll have some breads, baked goods, and other items available for purchase, but I may not have the capacity to provide full café service.

If the lights are on, feel free to stop in and see what’s available. Just know today may look a little different than usual.

Tomorrow’s bread lineup is starting to take shape!

🍞 We’ll have a limited number of soft sourdough sandwich loaves available. These are our square Pullman-style loaves, perfect for toast, sandwiches, grilled cheese, French toast, or just slicing up while they’re fresh.

(UPDATE: All Pullman loaves have been spoken for 😅 Thanks guys!)

Quantities will be limited, so reserve yours today if you want one set aside for pickup tomorrow.

We’ll also have plenty of Rustic Blonde sourdough and a few specialty loaves coming out of the oven.

And I’m looking for a little inspiration.

Meet Mr. Crunch.

Croque Monsieur literally translates to “Mr. Crunch,” and that felt like a name worth keeping.

Our newest hot addition to the menu is built on our soft enriched sourdough sandwich bread, layered with smoked ham and Gruyère cheese, smothered in béchamel and more Gruyère, then toasted until crisp on the outside and hot and melty in the middle.

A classic French café sandwich with a name we think deserves a little more airtime around here.

Mr. Crunch is officially on the menu.
