Join us Wednesday, August 26th from 5–9 PM for a special Delirium & Fruli Keep the Glass Night! Brewery Ambassador Jeff Schaaf will be hanging out with us for the evening while we pour a lineup of world-class Belgian beers — and when you order a featured beer, you get to keep the glass! 🍺

🍻 Brewers Night is TONIGHT at The Black Duck Cask & Bottle!

Join us tonight at 5:00 PM as we welcome Russian River Brewing Company for a special evening of incredible beer, good company, and one more excuse to enjoy the last stretch of summer. ☀️🍺

Russian River Brewing Company began in 1997 in Guerneville, California, with Vinnie Cilurzo as brewmaster and initially its sole employee. Over the years, the brewery became known for pushing the boundaries of super-hoppy and Belgian-inspired beers.

One of their most iconic creations, Pliny the Elder, was first brewed in 1999 and became one of the earliest commercially brewed Double/Imperial IPAs in the country. More than two decades later, it remains one of Russian River’s most beloved beers.

In 2003, Vinnie and his wife, Natalie, took ownership of the Russian River name, beer names, and recipes, and in April 2004 they opened the doors to their own brewpub—beginning the next chapter of the brewery’s story.

🍻 Brewers Night is TOMORROW at The Black Duck Cask & Bottle!

Join us tomorrow, Wednesday, August 12 from 5:00–8:00 PM as we welcome Russian River Brewing Company for an evening of great beer, good company, and one more excuse to enjoy the last stretch of summer. ☀️🍺

Russian River’s story began in 1997, when the brewery was founded by Korbel Champagne Cellars in Guerneville, California, with Vinnie Cilurzo as brewmaster and initially its sole employee. Over the next several years, Vinnie helped push the boundaries of super-hoppy and Belgian-inspired beers.

One of those beers was the now-iconic Pliny the Elder, first brewed in 1999. It became one of the earliest commercially brewed Double/Imperial IPAs in the country, earning numerous awards and eventually becoming Russian River’s most popular beer.

In 2003, when Korbel stepped away from brewing, the Russian River name, beer names, and recipes were transferred to Vinnie and his wife, Natalie. With the support of managing partners, friends, and family, they opened their own Russian River brewpub in April 2004, beginning the next chapter of the brewery we know today.
