StudioK1 is the lighting design studio within tk1sc - one of the largest engineering firms in Southern California, and a company that has been thriving and growing since 1967. tk1sc has historically provided a unique level of lighting design excellence for an engineering firm - with hundreds of beautifully lit projects to its name - but with StudioK1, we have expanded our lighting design capabilit
ies even further and now provide a level of design quality and service second to none. StudioK1 has brought together a team of award-winning lighting designers with experience in all facets of lighting design and all project types, including hotels, resorts, restaurants and casinos; cultural centers and museums; libraries; institutional and educational facilities; commercial and mixed-use developments; corporate offices; retail; municipal and civic facilities; and themed environments. StudioK1 is capable of providing lighting design services through all phases of a project from concept through opening, and can provide distinctive lighting solutions for projects ranging from intimate and elegant interiors to full cityscapes. Although StudioK1 is structured to function as a dedicated and independent design group, it is supported by the infrastructure of a robust one hundred person firm. As much as StudioK1 is designed to provide lighting design services independent of tk1sc, working in concert, the two firms can provide exceptional value to a project. StudioK1 and tk1sc are proud to be members of the US Green Building Council. Our senior designers are LEED Accredited Professionals and are Lighting Certified.
