This weekend I was finally able to hit the road again. Solo this weekend as Brodie Daniel had to work. Driftwood in our sights to support Rally For kids. Amazing job as always by these promoters.

As for us we felt a little off for being away from the competition scene for so long but pulled through.

Before we could stand shoulder to shoulder and sing our anthem…

There were Americans who stood in places no one should ever have to stand.

Some never came home.
Some came home forever changed.
Every one of them paid a price so the rest of us could live lives filled with ordinary moments we often take for granted.

The freedom to hug our families.
The freedom to cheer for our team.
The freedom to gather under one flag, with one nation behind us.

Today isn’t just about fireworks.
It’s about sacrifice.
It’s about gratitude.
It’s about remembering that someone else’s courage gave us the privilege of this moment.

As the stars and stripes wave over Texas tonight, may we never forget those who made it possible.

May God bless every man and woman who has worn our nation’s uniform.
May God comfort the families who carry an empty seat at the table.
And may we always prove worthy of the freedom they gave us.
