A Message to Our Hyde Park Community
We want to personally address an incident that took place near our restaurant this weekend. We were deeply saddened and disturbed by what happened, and we want to be clear: racism and hateful behavior have no place in our community or at our restaurant.
The individual involved is not an employee of our restaurant or a delivery driver for any of the third-party services we use. We are aware of who the individual is, and should they return to our restaurant, they will be asked to leave. They are no longer welcome at our shop.
To those who were affected, we are truly sorry. While the incident did not take place inside our restaurant, it happened near our business and affected members of our community. We stand with you, and you are welcome here.
As the son of Greek immigrants, our owner understands personally the importance of being welcomed, respected, and treated with dignity in the community you call home. Those values are at the heart of who we are.
We are proud to be part of Hyde Park, and we want our restaurant to be a place where everyone feels respected, comfortable, and welcome.
