Our "Give Back Wednesdays" for August are:
Big Fluffy Dog Rescue and National Canine Cancer Foundation,
a special dedication to our beloved Brina.
In the spring of 2017, a sweet fluff of a pup entered our lives, adopted from Big Fluffy Dog Rescue. We named this sassy girl Brina... and she immediately stole our hearts with her magical smile and her soul searching eyes. She brought so much love into our lives and we are so grateful every moment we had with her.
Diagnosed with a rare glioma of the spinal cord last summer, she successfully finished radiation and continued to live life to the fullest. This spring, she developed a bump above her eye, which would be diagnosed as nasal cancer. After SRT treatment and what seemed to be a positive shrinking of the tumor, her cancer came back aggressively.
Brina passed peacefully last week at home, surrounded by love. She is forever in our hearts & always in our memories.
