The American Cancer Society Holiday Shopping Card has been one of Houston’s premier fall fundraising events for over 25 years! SHOP LOCAL. SAVE MONEY.

With the purchase of a $85 American Cancer Society Holiday Shopping Card, shoppers receive a 20% discount from October 22 through November 1, 2026 at hundreds of Houston area participating retailers. Here’s how you can get involved:

Become a Sponsor – Choose from a variety of sponsorship opportunities designed to meet your marketing objectives and budget, including benefits such as your name or c

ompany logo prominently displayed on promotional materials and digital platforms and hosting traffic-generating events. Sign up to be a Participating Store or Restaurant – Join hundreds of retail stores and restaurants across the Houston area that sell and honor the card, and drive business to your store to kick off the holiday season. Purchase a Card – Houstonians can purchase the Holiday Shopping Card online in August for $75 or at participating area retailers in the fall. Support the American Cancer Society – Your contributions fund life-saving cancer research, patient support services, and the new Hope Lodge Houston, a no-cost residence for cancer patients visiting the Greater Houston area for treatment. Join the HSC Volunteer Committee - There’s lots of ways to get involved in this fun event, such as Retailer Liaisons, Administrative Helpers, Brand Ambassadors, and Special Events committees. June is National Cancer Survivor Month 💚

As we continue to see more people survive cancer than ever before, the work of the American Cancer Society remains focused not only on saving lives, but also on supporting survivors through every stage of their journey. Today, there are more than 18 million cancer survivors in the United States, and that number continues to grow thanks to advancements in research, early detection, advocacy, and patient support.

Because of generous supporters like you, ACS is able to provide critical programs and services that help patients and survivors navigate challenges both during and after treatment. 💗

May is Melanoma & Skin Cancer Awareness Month.

Skin cancer is by far the most common of all cancer types. More than 5 million cases of skin cancer are diagnosed each year in the United States -- that's more than all other cancers combined. The good news is you can do a lot to help protect yourself and your family from skin cancer:

- Seek shade (especially 10 A.M. to 4 P.M.) 🌴
- Use sunscreen (SPF 30 or higher) 😎
- Protect your skin year round ❄️
-Cover up the children, too! 👨‍👩‍👦
