Did you know we actually started out as a full-service catering company?

A quick bit of history: our mom ran Hunter’s Catering for over 30 years! She eventually "retired" and closed it down, but during the pandemic, we decided to keep her legacy alive and launched A Lil This A Lil That. We spent years doing pop-up events all over Houston until it got too busy, so we shifted our focus to catering. Fast forward to 2025, we finally got our food trailer, and now we’re busy running the truck, booking catering and private events, being moms, wives, and friends, managing sorority life, and working full-time jobs! Whew, there’s never a dull moment with us.

We never skimp on quality. Yes, you have to wait a bit because we make everything fresh. We prepare your food the same way we like to eat it ourselves. Even when we cook at home, our dishes look great.

Here’s another one. This lovely foodie was our last customer last night and she was so sweet. She gave us such an inspiring pep talk and complimented us on being a family-owned business.

Another successful catering event!

We had the pleasure of catering the 160th anniversary celebration for Damascus Missionary Baptist Church.

The congregation and community showed up ready to eat, and as usual, there were no leftovers! The kids especially loved the complimentary corn on the cob our Mom provided.

In true Queen Joyce fashion, she baked homemade lemon and strawberry cakes as a special treat, and they were such a hit that the guests preferred them over the store-bought options!
