We are very sad to announce the permanent closing of Clary's Country Corner Restaurant. There are many factors that contributed to this extremely difficult decision including the uncertain economic circumstances surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, the various landlord/property issues we've had (necessitating the closure of our business for 34 days earlier this year due to long-standing repairs that were never tended to by the landlord), and the inability to come to an agreement with the landlord on a new lease. As our lease was up at the end of April, we have decided that we can no longer operate the business profitably (under the renewed lease with the landlord). This is also the best decision for our family at this time, as we have just welcomed our son into the world and plan on making up for a lot of lost time with our five-year-old daughter who has had to share her daddy with a busy and thriving restaurant seven days a week for her entire life. We have enjoyed our ten years owning and operating Clary’s. We will miss our staff and customers beyond words. As we take a break from the hustle-bustle, we will be considering future potential moves for the Clary’s Country Corner name (as we still own the trademarked name). We will not be returning to the same building. If we decide to reopen Clary's Country Corner, it will be at a different location (we will be sure to update you). We thank our staff for their dedication and hard work and our customers for their loyalty and patronage. We also hope that everyone continues to shop local, small businesses that support so many families of the communities we live in. Be well, stay safe, and hold your loved ones close. Sincerely, Chad and Katelyn Skinner
