Who remembers our snowball stand next to the brake tag building in the early 90's? Look at that price $1.25! We started selling boiled crawfish out of that tiny place before we built our building and the rest is history.

I get asked all the time what kind of fish I have mounted on the wall in our office. I caught him probably close to 30 years ago wade fishing for trout using artificial bait at the Monkey bar Island. I didn't touch it because I didn't know what it was and I'm thankful I'm a chicken because they deliver a powerful shock and a sting. Looks similar to an oyster fish. Even a biologist at the Lumcon facility had no idea and we had to look it up in a book... "Life before Internet and AI" The only folks that have walked in and knew exactly what it is are our local "Shrimpers" they call them shock fish! I will post a picture of the actual mounted fish next time I go check the shop.

What Did Your Camera Capture?

Terrebonne Parish Sheriff Tim Soignet is asking residents and businesses in the Ashland Drive area to review their surveillance systems for any footage recorded between Saturday, September 12th at 6:30 pm – until Sunday, September 13th at 10:30 am, which may have captured any footage relevant to the recent murder incident.

Detectives are seeking any and all available video, including footage from:
o Home security systems
o Doorbell cameras
o Business surveillance systems
o Dash cameras
o Cameras monitoring streets, driveways, yards or nearby properties
o Game camera or Wildlife Detection Devices

Obtaining all footage is extremely important to the investigation. Even video that does not appear suspicious may capture a person, vehicle, sound or activity that could help Detectives establish critical evidence.

Please do not assume your footage is unimportant. Detectives are asking residents to preserve all recordings from the requested timeframe and contact the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office Detective Division, at (985)876-2500, as soon as possible.

Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office personnel will remain in the area for the foreseeable future, to assist residents in the collection of this potentially vital footage.

Please do not post potentially relevant footage publicly or share it on social media. Contact Detectives directly so the evidence can be properly reviewed and preserved.

This post is not about the recent new brake tag law and if you agree with it or not, this post is to say thank you and to honor Keith Adams for the 40 years of being a loyal, dependable employee.
Let's just be honest here, Keith was much more than an employee, he is family, like a brother to me. If you ever dealt with him you know he is one of a kind and he will surely be missed. Good luck on the new job and if your new employer is reading this... They did well by hiring you.

I've had multiple people call me today to let me know a homeless guy was sleeping under our front porch. With the temperature as hot as it is under the circumstances I have no issue with him resting there. 🙏❤️🙏
