Some people ask,(maybe more often during the summer) “do you have any cream cheese rolls?”Absolutely not, that has always been a hard & fast rule.
Locals know that we emphasize fresh fish, pure flavors! Right now we’re featuring striped bass (Suzuki) and seared swordfish (Kajiki). We also have some great Nama (unpasteurized) sake in for a limited time. Including one from the Matsui brewery, one that I visited in Kyoto last fall.

We have some amazing new Sake options on special now, courtesy of , who specialize in small breweries with great craft sake selections. Haganishiki “Tochi No Uta” is a very light Nigori (slightly hazy) unpasteurized Junmai Genshu. Koshiji No Kobai “Sanma” is from Coastal Niigata, using fresh snow melt water, aged unpasteurized. Sourced from the Yagi family, brewing since 1697. This Tokubetsu Junmai has a rich, nutty aroma with high acidity that pairs well with fatty fish and savory dishes. The Kagura Ruri “Midnight Blue” is a high end label from the Matsui Brewery in Kyoto, where I got to tour and taste last Fall. This Nama Genshu is also unpasteurized, lightly filtered, and carries a certain effervescence and range of flavors from sweet to sour to dry. Established in 1726, now run by 15th generation sake masters. Pretty cool to finally serve some of this amazing that I was so delighted by on my trip to Kyoto!
