Honea Path Judge Passes Away

HONEA PATH | The Town of Honea Path is mourning the passing of Hon. James D. Green, Jr., who served as an Anderson County Magistrate and Municipal Judge for the Town of Honea Path.

Judge Green passed away Saturday afternoon, August 29, 2026.

Throughout his service on the bench, Judge Green served the citizens of Anderson County and Honea Path with dedication and a strong commitment to his community. His passing is a tremendous loss to those who knew him, worked alongside him, and appeared before him during his years of public service.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Judge Green’s family, friends, colleagues, and the entire community during this difficult time.

Congratulations to the beautiful Raelynn Grace Beasley 🎉🎉🎉

👑 Congratulations, Raelyn Grace Beasley! 👑

The Town of Honea Path proudly congratulates Raelyn Grace Beasley on being crowned Teen Miss South Carolina on Saturday, July 18!

In addition to winning the state title, Raelyn was named Fun Fashion Winner, 1st Runner-Up in Talent, and received several special honors, including the Prisma Health Children’s Hospital Award, Community Service Gold Award, and Sweetheart Award.

Raelyn is a rising senior at Belton-Honea Path High School and plans to attend Lander University after graduation. She is the 17-year-old daughter of Ashley and Terry McAlister of Honea Path.

Mayor Jimmy Smith, the Honea Path Town Council, and the entire community congratulate Raelyn on this outstanding accomplishment. We are proud of the way she represents our town and wish her continued success in all that lies ahead.

Just need to clarify “The Little Biscuit Barn “has not been sold and we are not closing
There is a “Biscuit Barn “in Georgia that is closing/or closed but I can assure you it’s not me or my place
I’ve had a lot of people to ask me it was a post someone made assuming it was me but it was the one in Georgia

🎉 Happy 42nd Anniversary, Little Biscuit Barn! ❤️🥞

Forty-two years ago, my mama and daddy opened the doors to Little Biscuit Barn with a dream, a lot of hard work, and a whole lot of love. Today, I am beyond blessed and honored to carry on the legacy they built.

What started as their dream has become a tradition for so many families, and that is something I will never take for granted. Every biscuit served, every smile shared, and every customer who walks through our doors reminds me just how special this place truly is.

To our amazing customers—you are so much more than customers. You are family. Your love, loyalty, and support through the years have meant the world to us. Because of you, this little restaurant continues to thrive, and for that, I am forever grateful.

Mama and Daddy, I hope you’re smiling down, knowing your legacy is still going strong. I promise to continue serving this community with the same love, kindness, and dedication that you taught me.

From the little building in 1984 to where we are today… 42 years later, we’re still baking biscuits, making memories, and serving our community with love.
