It is with very heavy hearts that we share the passing of someone who was so much more than a cook, coworker, or employee to us. Bob was The Dream Restaurant.

Bob gave so much of himself to this restaurant over the years. He loved The Dream, he loved the people he worked beside, and he cared deeply about everyone who walked through our doors. He was a brother, a friend, a father, a mentor, and truly part of our family.

If you knew Bob, you knew his quotes—and if you worked with him, you probably heard the same ones two or three times a week. We wouldn’t have had it any other way. After hearing a waitress call back one too many special requests, Bob would always remind them, “This ain’t Burger King!” Those are the little things we would give anything to hear one more time.

We’re going to miss the laughter. We’re going to miss him giving everyone a hard time. We’re even going to miss hearing him and Dale fighting in the kitchen. Most of all, we’re going to miss simply having Bob here.

As much as Bob loved The Dream and all of us, nothing compared to the love he had for his daughter, Tiffany. You could see how proud he was of her and how much she meant to him.

There are certain people who become such a big part of a place that you can’t imagine it without them. Bob was one of those people. His personality, his stories, his wisdom, his stubbornness, his laughter, and his heart are woven into the history of The Dream.

The kitchen is going to feel a little different now. The Dream is going to feel a little different.

We love you, Bob. Thank you for all the years, all the laughs, all the lessons, and all the memories. You will always be a part of The Dream family, and you will never be forgotten.

Rest easy, Bob. ❤️
