We catered for Salado Alumni Banquet today.
Chicken Fried Steak, Chicken Fried Chicken, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans and rolls for the main courses, Banana Pudding and Peanut Butter Sheet Cake for dessert. 80 plates and very happy guests.
Thank you Logan Dale Gommert, Aiden Daley, and Ronald Gommert for food prep, transport and serving.

It’s been awhile friends, but we are coming back, just in a different capacity. While we would love to be the brick and mortar dining option, logistically that isn’t possible in this area at this time. We are now offering catering services and event planning. All your favorite Gommerts menu option will be available, including our delicious desserts and custom cakes. So excited to jump back in and get back to serving up all our favorites.

It’s almost November….Holidays are our favorite because all the yummy stuff we get to cook. I love baking, I know for some it’s the most stressful part of the holiday season. Considering doing pre orders for the holidays for some of our favorite casseroles and desserts. Hit the like button and/or comment if you would be interested in ordering.

Thank you to everyone who ordered today! Huge thank you to William and Logan for jumping in to help get everything prepped and set up correctly, Cookie for coming to taste test for me, and Ashely for taking over the menu template! When we say it’s a family business, we aren’t joking! Couldn’t do any of it without them.
We will be taking orders again tomorrow from 4-7, and Monday from 5-7!!

Goodbyes aren’t easy, so we decided not to go that route. We are temporarily closing. We need to regroup, downsize and restructure, to be able to keep the dream alive, we had to make some hard choices on the building, and how we wanted to proceed. Just not enough business to support the amount of overhead we had, and the economy isn’t bouncing back anytime soon. We will be getting all of our stuff together in the coming weeks and will announce when where what and how. Stay tuned!
