After a difficult few weeks, I am happy to share that our café will be reopening on Friday, June 12 at 6:00 AM.

I want to sincerely thank everyone for the love, kindness, prayers, messages, and support you've shown me and my family following the loss of my husband. Your encouragement has meant more than words can express, and it has helped carry me through some very challenging days.

As we reopen our doors, I am looking forward to seeing all of your familiar faces again and getting back to serving this wonderful community that has supported us for so many years.

I'm also excited to introduce some delicious menu changes, with even more exciting additions and improvements coming soon. Be sure to keep an eye on our page for updates and announcements in the weeks ahead!

Thank you again for standing by us. I can't wait to welcome you back on Friday, June 12 at 6:00 AM.

To our wonderful customers, friends, and community,

I want to sincerely thank each and every one of you for the incredible love, kindness, prayers, and support you've shown following the passing of my husband. Your messages, visits, and acts of compassion have meant more to me and my family than words can express during this difficult time.

As I continue to navigate this loss, I need a little more time to grieve and be with my loved ones. Because of that, the cafe will remain closed a bit longer than originally anticipated.

Please know that I am deeply grateful for your patience and understanding. This cafe has always been more than a business—it is a place built on community, and your support has reminded me just how special that community truly is.

I do look forward to reopening soon and welcoming you back through our doors. Until then, thank you for keeping us in your thoughts and for giving me the time and space needed to heal.

He fought a long, hard battle after his fall in June. He is finally pain free but so lost without the love of my life. Thank you everyone for your thoughts, prayers and kind words. Please join us Friday at Poppy’s Place at 4 for a celebration of life.

We invite family and friends to join us in honoring and remembering my husband, Robert Humiston.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, May 29 from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at Heintz Funeral Home in Utica, followed by a short ceremony.

Burial services will then take place at Fairview Cemetery in Cold Brook.

Afterwards, we welcome anyone who would like to attend a Celebration of Life to come Poppy’s Place at 4pm.

Thank you all for your love, support, and prayers during this difficult time.
