Day one.

Eight years ago, we started our little family business. Our love of food, serving others and the chance to spend more time with our family were the reasons we decided to open a food truck. We started with a fold out tent, a table and a fryer (and a pretty darn good funnel cake recipe). We have had our ups and down but have enjoyed every minute.

In the past few years so many things have changed, not just within our business, but in our world. Things in our lives have continued to change. We have some new and different things on our horizon.

As much as we have loved running the Adams Family Foods food truck, we have decided it is time to move on and embrace the opportunities that have presented themselves to us. We have not made this decision hastily; this is something we have prayerfully considered.

We are so thankful for everyone's support over the past 8 years. We have met so many incredible people that we would not have met otherwise. We have made lifelong friendships and feel incredibly blessed to have been able to do it for so long. Some of our best memories were made during these 8 years.

We could not possibly say good-bye without mentioning all the great people that have worked in the trailer with us over the years. It was not always easy, but we think it was pretty fun. Some of our best memories include those that worked with us. There are too many to name, but you know who you are ❤

We’d like to thank all of our family that helped us along the way. Most importantly we’d like to thank Harold Adams, AFF security. He always did a great job and we enjoyed having him with us whenever he came out. Becky Adams truly was our biggest supporter and cheerleader. Not only was she our special blend maker for a long time, but she would also drive to (almost) every single place we set up. We dearly miss her. A special thank you to our kids, Chelsea and Josh. At times I’m sure they thought we were insane, but they were always there when we needed them and always supported what we did. They always believed in us. We are so thankful to God that he chose us to be their parents. They make us proud every day.

This has been an emotional decision for us, but we are excited about the next chapter. Again, thank you all and we love you!

We will continue to be closed until it is safe to be out. We really miss everyone. With no festivals and a limited places to set up we feel it’s not a good time to operate. Plus we thinks it’s is very important to social distant. We love what we do and love serving you. Thank you for being patient.

It’s official EKU 2020!

Derby usually marks the beginning of our season. We normally do a couple festivals before Derby, but you know it’s food truck season on Derby. We miss all of our awesome customers!! Especially our Derby day crowd. We can’t wait until next year. Stay home and stay safe.
