⭐️ You are invited to join illustrator and journal keeper Pam Johnson Brickell in telling the story of a memorable meal. Using a thoughtfully prepared three-course lunch {see below} as inspiration, you'll learn simple, approachable techniques for sketching food with pen and watercolor, through demonstrations, guided instruction, and individual coaching.
Pam will show you how to look beyond the plate—observing the details that give every dining experience its personality: beautiful table settings, flowers, menus, architecture, hand lettering, and the warm, eclectic atmosphere that makes Charlie's so memorable. If your journal page needs a little more attention than your lunch allows, we will happily package the remainder of your meal to enjoy later.
This workshop is designed for anyone with basic sketching skills through the seasoned artist. A little drawing experience is recommended, but polished skills are certainly not required. The focus will be less on creating a “perfect” drawing and more on capturing the story of the meal in your own style.
