Yes, it's true. Hawaiian Licks will be closing up shop this month.

This weekend will be your last chance to come to the scoop shop, get a cone and say goodbye to your favorite staff members.

We will be making our last deliveries this month but we recommend that you stock up on your favorite pints before the shelves go bare.

I want to thank everyone over the years that tried our nice cream, got a scoop or picked up a pint, told their friends and became a part of the Hawaiian Licks family. (Some of you really DID become family!)

Meeting everyone and becoming a part of the Hilo community has been one of the most amazing experiences in this unforgettable journey. I will be forever grateful.

I would be remiss if I didn't thank my colleagues at the shop. David, Brandon, Sadie and Tati - it has been my honor to work and learn alongside you. What we have accomplished in the short 3 years we have been open has been incredibe and rewarding. You will be the first people that I call for the next adventure.

What's next? We don't know precisely, but the plans are formulating. Hawaiian Licks may be down for the moment, but its not out. Let's get through COVID and see what opportunities pop up for a potential reboot. Stay tuned for more on that...

With all that said, it's time for me to repeat one of the best goodbye lines ever penned: "So long, and thanks for all the fish!"

Brandon cranked his creative juices and came up with this new concoction: Honey Cashew!

It tastes like a box of honey nut cheerios went on 'roids and never came down. It's as delish as it looks and I highly suggest hopping over and grabbing a scoop before it's gone!

Vegans note: this flavor contains honey.

The shop is open for scoops today from 11am-5pm! Cheerio!
