Hilo Skate Plaza Concept
Our goal is to have a minimum of 25,000 square feet of skatepark concrete, a covered roller rink for hockey, roller derby and other roller sports, lights, restroom facilities, a parking lot, and family recreation space which would include a pavilion, BBQ area, and Keiki playground. Together we have identified an appropriate parcel within the Ho'olulu Sports Complex, near
the Afook-Chinen Civic Auditorium. The land will be formally dedicated to the project upon reaching a fundraising goal of $100,000. At which point we will be able to work towards the initial phase of construction. This Kickstarter project will be a direct reflection of community support. Reaching this immediate goal will demonstrate overwhelming interest and need which in turn will allow for obtainment of community grants, county funding, and future in-kind donations. Our Vision
The creation of a safe, world class recreation venue that serves the Big Island of Hawaii's community and provides a wide variety of economic and recreational opportunities for local merchants, visitors and residents alike. Our Mission
To work with the community at all levels to develop a safe recreational and competitive arena that will serve current and future generations of athletes and those that support the alternative sports, lifestyles and art forms of the people from around Hawaii and the World. Who We Are
