Story time! 🥰 When we lived on O’ahu for a few years pre-kids, I used to sneak into Ted’s bakery after work sometimes (ok twice a week) for a Okinawa sweet potato pie square. Pure. Heaven. You guys know the ones?? I never see them anymore! But anyways this is my twist on that classic treat. I made the shortbread without macnuts cause I know some of you prefer without, but if you want the real real, we’ll dust some powdery macnut bits on top too. Hope you all enjoy this new special. It tastes like nostalgia to me. 🥰
