Dear Dawn,

Twenty-seven years. That’s something to be incredibly proud of.

Dawn’s Cafe isn’t just a business you opened 27 years ago. It’s something you built with your own two hands, a whole lot of hard work, determination, long days, early mornings, and probably more blood, sweat, tears, and cups of coffee than anyone will ever know.

Being a woman-owned business for 27 years is an accomplishment all on its own, but what makes it even more special is what you’ve created along the way. You didn’t just build a cafe, you built a place where people feel at home. Customers walk through those doors and become friends, and some eventually feel more like family.

I want you to know how proud I am to be a small part of what you’ve built.

Working at Dawn’s Cafe has given me more than just a job. There have been laughs, crazy days, stressful days, good days and days when we were probably both ready to walk out the door 😂—but through all of it, I’m thankful to be there and thankful for you.

You’ve shown what determination, hard work and not giving up can create. Twenty-seven years later, those doors are still opening, the kitchen is still cooking, and people are still coming back because of the foundation you built.

So today, I hope you take a minute to really look around and be proud of yourself. Every customer who walks through that door, every regular who knows exactly what they want before they sit down, every memory made inside those walls—they are all little pieces of the legacy you’ve created.

Congratulations on 27 amazing years, Dawn. Thank you for allowing me to be part of your cafe, your crew, and this chapter of the story.
