Hello friends!
This is going to be a bit long and bitter-sweet.
As of January 1st, 2027, The Bach Yen will be under NEW OWNERSHIP!
We aren’t ready to announce to the public who is taking over just yet, but I can assure you that they are the best person for the job. They have been with The Bach for just about as long as I have and have been in every position within the restaurant. They plan on using Alice’s original recipes that you know and love. I know they will have much success and I am excited to see their ideas take shape.
This decision doesn’t come lightly on my part. There are many contributing factors, with personal reasons being the biggest.
Many of you knew my mom, she was a BIG part of The Bach after we took over. When she passed, it affected me immensely. She passed at a relatively young age, as did her mom. The odds are kind of against me and I really think I should take advantage of what I might have left. So, that is what I am going to do! I’m going to enjoy my children and their families. I am going to go on adventures with my husband and chase sunsets. I am going to visit the people I love most. I am going to sit on a beach with my best friend and just be. All without carrying the responsibilities of owning a business. I am going to clock out and actually just go home at the end of the day.
I love this restaurant and the community that has supported us through the years. As you know, it would have been impossible to do any of this without you. I will be grateful for eternity for the support and love.
I cherish so many people that I have met through our little hole-in-the-wall, guests and staff alike. Just in the (almost) 8 years that we’ve owned it, our little building has been witness to love, loss, new life, celebration and most importantly friendship. This building, my coworkers and you have seen me at my worst and best. You have watched me grow into the person I am today. You have been a huge guidance in the person I am becoming.
I’m so thankful Alice awarded me this opportunity, and I will always carry an abundance of gratitude and knowledge with me because of her choice to trust me with her little gem.
You’ll be seeing me around!
💜Amanda
Side Notes-
Gift Cards- We will no longer be selling or reloading gift cards. Gift cards that have already been purchased will be valid through December 31st, 2026. We were hoping too be able to transfer our point of sale to the new owners but will not be able to due to tax reasons. So, dig deep in those junk drawers, find them and use them before time runs out.
Coupons- We have multiple coupons in the Greenway Band & Choir Coupon Books. These WILL remain valid and the new owners will continue to honor them after the transition.
Hours- We will be changing our hours AGAIN!! The trial run of our expanded hours started out strong but did not met our hopes. We do have a minimum amount in sales we have to achieve to make it worth being open. Therefore, we will be reverting back to our old hours, starting immediately.
