This is a beautiful tribute to our beloved Mr. Stevens. He will forever remain in our hearts and in our memories.

Cecil Alvin Stevens, who owned the Summit Inn restaurant from 1966 to 2016, died Feb. 5, 2021, at age 88.

It is with great sadness that we share the loss of Mrs Debbie Stevens. She was a wonderful woman and will be missed forever. May she rest in peace.

Just to clarify to all our patrons and fans of the Summit Inn; the Car Show being held today at Midway Appliances is happening because of Jerry McClure. He has organized the entire show and he has chosen to have it benefit the rebuild of the Summit. The current owners and employees did not suggest or ask Jerry to help us. He has done it out of kindness. We wish to thank Jerry, his car club, and all participants for their efforts and involvement!!!

We would like to give a very heart-felt thank you to each and every person who came out and participated at the Summit Inn Memorial Event. It was fantastic to see our friends come out and reminisce over old times and dream about new times to come. Again, thank you for all your help and support!

A Memorial service for the Summit Inn Restaurant is planned for Saturday September 10th from 11am to 3pm. This is open to the public and anyone who wishes to come may do so. There will be a food vending truck there, 3rd Generation Taco, they will have food and drinks for sale. Please note that there are no bathrooms, no water, and no electricity. If you plan on staying for an extended period of time, please bring yourself a chair and an easy-up if you wish. Thanks to some very regular and dedicated customers who brought this idea to our attention. Let's share some old memories and celebrate the birth of the new Summit to come!

Due to Mandatory Evacuations the Summit Inn is Closed. When the evacuation is lifted we will reopen. God Bless all our firefighters on the ground and in the air and all the emergency responders working this fire.
