Grass Fed Gals is a local and home based bakery started by two best friends of over 8 years, Liz and Emily. They began a grass-fed paleo lifestyle to improve their health and quality of life after both being diagnosed with the autoimmune disease of Hashimotos Thyroiditis. After being misdiagnosed on several other health issues, Emily was then diagnosed with thyroid cancer, having her thyroid remov

ed a few days before Thanksgiving in 2015. After going through an intense RAI treatment, Emily and Liz both decided that they needed to change their diets, to attack the root cause of what was attacking their thyroids to begin with! We use only the finest organic ingredients, and we support our local farmers and use as much as we can through them. We are specializing in gluten-free desserts and breads, and we have several items that are dairy, nut, and egg free! We use traditional methods to produce exceptional dessert and miscellaneous items which will be sold locally in the local DeSoto County farmers market in Hernando! While we continually strive for innovation at Grass Fed Gals, we’re still making our creations the way our ancestors made them. And we think they would be pretty proud of that! Good morning. Real talk for a minute.

When the triplets were born and for the first couple years of their life, Joey (Mr Hippie) and I received SNAP benefits from the state of Mississippi. I was unable to work and one income isn’t enough for a family of 5! I cannot imagine if we were in that same position right now how it would be affecting us, Especially during the holidays.

We have decided to offer anyone that comes in with a valid snap card 10% off of their purchases during the month of November. (unfortunately we cannot accept snap cards.)

We know it’s not much but hopefully will help someone!! Please share this post and get the word out if you know someone that could benefit from it!

-Our harvester decided that there is no excuse to go out of stock on fresh harvest quail. He is putting in the OT just for you. We will offer unfrozen four packs. They will be harvested tomorrow, and air-chilled at 41 degrees tomorrow night. You can’t get fresher, unless you harvest your own. We can help you with that just the same.
-Seasonal fresh harvest produce(Big harvest this week including blueberries)
-Adobe Ranch pork(Maybe beef 🤷🏻‍♂️)
-Starter flocks-Bresse
-Ringneck Pheasants

Homemade strawberry shortcake 🍰 yum 🤤 The vanilla cake is GF, allergy friendly, dairy and egg free, and we used Monk Fruit Sweetener for the strawberries 🍓. The whipped cream we used is dairy and made from organic grassfed cream for our whipped cream dispenser. We used quail eggs from which have shown to have little to no allergies from customers who cannot eat regular eggs. Check them out! 🧁🎉
