NEVER FORGET!

Remembering all of our soldiers, First responders and civilians who were impacted by the events of 25 years ago today.

Sometimes we have a tendency to forget things that affect us personally, especially when a major tragedy happens. But some moments are forever etched into our memories.

Can anyone remember exactly what they were doing when it happened?

I was employed by a home improvement company as a salesperson, selling vinyl, doors, shingles, and double-hung insulated windows. I saw the announcement while I was changing my 26-year-old daughter’s diaper. I immediately felt anger, anxiety, and sorrow all at the same time.

I held my baby close as I learned more about what was happening, including the heartbreaking realization that there was a daycare facility in one of the buildings.

May we never forget the lives that were lost, the families who were changed forever, and the soldiers and civilians who were impacted that day.

And may we never stop asking questions, seeking the truth, and remembering the information that has come to light over the years.

May we NEVER forget.

Good morning, Hermiston and surrounding areas! ☀️

Southern Twain BBQ will be closed today and tomorrow for some much-needed repairs. Operating a food truck 7 days a week really puts the equipment to the test, and we appreciate your understanding while we get everything back in top shape!

🔥 We’ll be back Tuesday, September 1st at 11:00 AM! 🔥

We also have an exciting community opportunity coming up!

📣 City Chat with Hermiston City Representatives
📅 Friday, September 4th
⏰ 11:30 AM–1:30 PM
📍 Hermiston Food Pod

Our city representatives will be joining us inside the food pod for a couple of hours to hear your input, concerns, questions, and new ideas about how Hermiston can continue moving into the future.

And there’s a little extra incentive to stop by! 🎉
City representatives will be handing out discount food vouchers for the Hermiston Food Pod food trucks.

This is a great opportunity to have your voice heard, connect with your community, and help shape the future of Hermiston. We hope to see you there!

Thank you for continuing to support your local barbecue truck! ❤️🍖
