Another busy weekend is underway!

We kicked things off last night in Raleigh with a fundraiser dinner for 24 guests, and we’re just getting started. Five more events are on the schedule through Tuesday, including two weddings!

With our schedule continuing to grow, Morrelli’s Chef Services is also looking to add a new culinary assistant to the team. This position involves prep, cooking, plating, setup and cleanup for private dinners, weddings and special events. Travel is a regular part of the job, with events throughout Virginia, North Carolina and surrounding states, so reliable transportation and a willingness to travel are important.

Kitchen or culinary experience is preferred. If you’re dependable, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and interested in traveling with us for events, send me a message for more information.

What a crazy week!

We made the full circle — from Smith Mountain Lake, down to the coasts of North and South Carolina, back up to Northern Virginia, and finally finishing just outside Richmond.

Hundreds of miles, countless plates, and over 40 guests served along the way.

A long week, but an incredible one. Grateful for every client who trusted Morrelli Chef Services to be part of their table and their celebrations.

36 guests, 10 meals, and endless smiles! We had a blast catering this week. From fresh fruit to savory pastas, we kept the plates full and the vibes high. Even the kids loved the veggies! What's your favorite dish from the spread?

Celebrating love is always an honor, and I was grateful to be part of this beautiful engagement dinner in Wilmington Nc.

The evening began with a handcrafted charcuterie display featuring premium cured meats, artisan cheeses, seasonal fruit, house-made pimento cheese, seeded crackers, and fresh bread. Guests then enjoyed a Citrus Champagne Gem Salad with crisp gem lettuce, shallots, toasted walnuts, shaved pecorino, and a bright citrus champagne vinaigrette. For the entrée, we served grass-fed filet mignon alongside garlic herb lobster tail, roasted potatoes, broccolini, and a spicy tomato pan sauce.

Thank you for trusting Morrelli’s Chef Services to help celebrate such a meaningful milestone. Being welcomed into your home to create memories around the table is something I’ll never take for granted. Wishing the happy couple a lifetime filled with love, laughter, and incredible meals together.

🏴‍☠️ Pirate Weekend at Smith Mountain Lake ⚓️

What an incredible weekend on the lake! It was a pleasure creating a custom private dining experience featuring fresh, seasonal ingredients and restaurant-quality cuisine for an amazing group.

From vibrant seafood starters and handcrafted appetizers to perfectly cooked filet mignon and a decadent house-made dessert, every course was designed to bring people together around the table. Thank you for allowing Morrelli’s Chef Services to be part of your celebration—I look forward to cooking for you again!

One of my favorite menus I’ve put together this year.

A Japanese-inspired tasting menu built around bright flavors, seasonal ingredients, and plenty of contrast throughout the meal.

The menu featured:

• Miso-Plum Duck & Sesame Focaccia

• Sweet Potato Korokke

• Spring Roll & Fried Rice Nest

• Seared Sea Scallops with miso squash purée, yuzu-thyme emulsion, tomato confit, capers, and pickled shallots

• Spring Vegetable Miso Broth

• Chilled Spring Vegetable Soba

• Charred Soy-Balsamic Petite Filet with shiso chimichurri, roasted shiitakes, and daikon purée

• Five-Spice Grilled Chicken Thighs with ginger-scallion oil and cucumber-sesame salad

• Sake-Miso Sea Bass with wasabi purple sweet potato purée and shaved fennel citrus salad

Finished with a Mango & Coconut Panna Cotta with kaffir lime syrup.

Now back to the kitchen to start planning the next one.
