Have you tried Asheville Tea Company yet?

If not, Friday is your chance!

They’ll be hanging out at the market from 10am to 12pm pouring samples of two of our favorites: Blue Ridge Mountain Mint and Hibiscus Mojito.

We love these teas because they’re made with real botanicals, sourced from farms here in the Southeast, and the cold brew blends are really refreshing this time of year.

Swing by and hang out ]for a bit!

Two great tastings are happening at Ecusta Market this weekend!

Friday, July 24 | 10 AM to 12 PM

We’re excited to welcome Safelight Safelight and Dandelion to the market! Stop by to learn about the incredible work they’re doing to support individuals and families in our community, and sample their delicious, locally made baking mixes.

These mixes are handcrafted as part of Dandelion’s paid job training program, where participants receive workforce development, financial stability education, case management, and hands on experience in a safe, supportive environment. Every purchase helps support their mission while investing in meaningful opportunities right here in Western North Carolina. We’ll be offering $1 off their mixes during the tasting!

Saturday, July 25 | 1 PM to 3 PM

Join us for a complimentary wine tasting with Chris Thornbury from Rise Over Run Wine! Sample a thoughtfully curated selection of small production, minimal intervention wines that celebrate a true sense of place.

Rise Over Run is North Carolina’s only 100% female owned wine import and distribution company, specializing in direct imports from passionate, independent winemakers around the world. Find a new favorite and take home a bottle to enjoy!

We hope you’ll join us for a weekend of great food, great wine, and great people.

Plastic Free July is a great excuse to rethink some of the everyday products we use the most.

Green Go Cleaning Co. is on a mission to help families create a cleaner home without synthetic fragrances, harsh chemicals, or questionable ingredients. Every product is plant based, handcrafted in Pisgah Forest, NC, and made to be effective and safe.

We’re proud to carry Green Go’s Laundry Powder and Dishwasher Powder in bulk. Bring your own container or grab one here, refill what you need, and skip another plastic bottle while supporting a local Western North Carolina maker.

Little swaps really do add up, and this one is good for your home, your family, and the whole planet.

We’ve got a fun weekend lined up at Ecusta Market & Cafe!

Sunday (10am–12pm): We’re excited to welcome Craig LeHoullier, better known as the NC Tomato Man, for a tomato tasting, Q&A, and book signing! Bring your tomato questions, sample some incredible varieties, and pick up a signed copy of Epic Tomatoes while you’re here.

It’s going to be a great weekend of good food and learning from some awesome folks. We hope you’ll come spend a little time with us! 🍅🌿

It’s What’s New Wednesday, and we’re still celebrating Plastic Free July!

If you’ve been looking for a few easy swaps to cut back on single use plastics, here are some of our favorites around the market right now.

Stasher Bag reusable bags have become a go to for snacks, leftovers, and travel. They’re washable, reusable, and something I really like to keep on hand for our kids.

If you’re like us and can never seem to throw away a good mason jar, Bamboo Switch reusable mason jar lids make them even more useful for drinks on the go. Add a stainless steel straw from Zero Waste Store and you’ve got an instant iced coffee cup.

We also love the beeswax wraps from Shor Products. They’re a great replacement for plastic wrap and work really well for wrapping up produce, sandwiches, or covering bowls. I always keep a small stack in our kitchen. They also make really great gifts.

And because we can’t resist beautiful kitchen tools, we also have handcrafted wooden pieces from Made in Bus Woodcraft, including herb st*****rs, pot scrapers, spatulas, spoons, egg holders, and more. They’re made in Western North Carolina, which makes us love them even more.

Have you made any plastic free swaps that you’ve ended up loving? We’d love to hear what’s become a staple for your family!

This week’s Vendor Spotlight is Little Seed Farm!

There are so many reasons we love having on our shelves. Their products are thoughtfully made, effective, and created with so much care for both people and the planet.

Everything is made on their family farm in Tennessee using regenerative farming practices and 100% solar power. They use natural and organic ingredients, package their products in reusable glass and metal whenever possible, and even have a Return & Reuse program that gives empty containers another life instead of sending them to the landfill.

Their natural deodorant has become a favorite with both our team and our family, and their soaps and skincare are just as wonderful.

If you haven’t taken a look yet, next time you’re in, stop by the wellness section and give Little Seed Farm a try. I PROMISE you’ll love them!

One of the things we love about Plastic Free July is that it reminds us living with less waste doesn’t have to mean changing everything at once. Sometimes it’s as simple as replacing something you’ve run out of with a version that lasts longer, creates less waste, or comes with less packaging.

This week we’re highlighting a few of our favorite swaps for the kitchen and laundry room.

If you go through paper towels like our family does, the reusable cloths from Swedish Dish Cloths and Zero Waste Store are an incredible swap. For dishes, we’ve stocked plastic free sponges, scrubbers, dish brushes, and No Tox Life Dish Blocks, a solid dish soap that’s a great alternative to the traditional plastic bottle.

The laundry room is another easy place to make a few changes. We carry bulk laundry detergent and dishwasher powder from .go.cleaning.co, liquid laundry detergent and Oxygen Boost from Nood Clean, dishwasher pods from Green Llama, plus wool dryer balls and dryer sheets from Molly’s Suds.

One of our favorite features in the Market is our refill station. Bring in your own clean, dry containers from home and refill many of your everyday cleaning products. Just stop by the register before filling so we can weigh your containers first.

If you’ve been looking for a few simple ways to reduce waste at home, we’d love to help you find a few swaps that fit your routine.
