Job Description: Cleaning Technician – Carbon Country Club Restaurant
Position Title: Cleaning Technician
Department: Food & Beverage / Facilities
Reports To: Restaurant Manager or General Manager
Employment Type: Part-Time
Position Summary:
The Cleaning Technician is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, sanitation, and overall appearance of the country club restaurant, kitchen, dining areas, restrooms, and related facilities. This position plays a key role in ensuring a safe, welcoming, and high-quality environment for members, guests, and staff by following established cleaning procedures and health standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Clean and sanitize dining rooms, bars, kitchens, banquet areas, and service stations.
* Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain floors throughout the restaurant and club facilities.
* Clean and disinfect restrooms, replenish supplies, and ensure a neat appearance.
* Empty trash and recycling containers and dispose of waste properly.
* Clean windows, mirrors, doors, walls, and other surfaces as needed.
* Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, storage areas, and food preparation spaces according to health and safety regulations.
* Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, or damaged equipment to management.
* Follow all club policies, sanitation procedures, and workplace safety standards.
* Assist with special cleaning projects before and after club events, banquets, and member functions.
* Ensure cleaning supplies are stocked and notify management when replenishment is needed.
Qualifications:
* Previous janitorial, housekeeping, restaurant cleaning, or custodial experience preferred.
* Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, vacuums, and pressure washers.
* Knowledge of proper cleaning chemicals and safe handling procedures.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
* Ability to work independently.
* Reliable attendance and punctuality.
* Must be able to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Physical Requirements:
* Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and reach for extended periods.
* Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
* Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments and around cleaning chemicals.
* Ability to perform repetitive cleaning tasks throughout the shift.
