Bad Betty’s Barbecue is moved in to our new kitchen and ready for all of your catering needs!

Weddings, birthdays, office parties, corporate events, graduations.. whatever the event, Bad Betty’s will e there.

May is filling up with Graduations, commercial events and even a few weddings. But we still have room on the calendar! Shoot us a message today to lock down your event.

We have been working on a way to get food back into our customers hands on a semi-regular basis. T Wherever I go around town, I hear that folks still want Bad Betty’s Barbecue in their lives! the best solution we have come up with is to offer pick-up on pre-scheduled dates with a pre-set menu. Customers will be able to pre-order and pick it on those dates. If we get enough interest we will put this together for May 8th, 15th and 29th. If it goes well, we’ll add dates in June. Pic up times and location will be announced with the menu.

Hey Bad Betty’s fans! It’s been a minute. Wanted to drop in and give you all an very overdue update.

We have decided, that for now, we will not be re-opening the restaurant portion of the business in order to focus on the catering side of the business. We have just moved into a new catering kitchen and could not be more excited!

This new space is going to allow us to expand our menu and provide our customers with the best possible catering experience.

However, we know that you folks are still going to want to have some Bad Betty’s in your life. We are actively working on a solution that will be available very soon! Our new website will incorporate online ordering with delivery options. This will allow us to offer meal options on regular intervals that can be ordered ahead and either picked up or delivered the following day. Order for the family, or lunch of the office. We hope to have the new site finalized and functioning by March 1st.

In the meantime, we are open and taking catering orders. From a large wedding to a small office lunch we can handle about any crowd.

With Super Bowl Sunday coming up this weekend we wonder if anyone is interested in some Bad Betty’s BBQ packages? I’m thinking burnt ends, ribs and chicken wings? Bad Betty’s nacho bar? Hit us up in the comments and let us know.

In 11 years in business, Bad Betty’s Barbecue has survived street closures, worldwide, pandemics, massive inflation, and Shia LaBeouf…

Our last day of regular business hours will be Friday, September 19. Until then we are going back to an 11 to 3 Tuesday through Saturday schedule. We will need to make a few adjustments as the Catering schedule demands, but we will keep you all posted here.

This was not an easy decision, and one I am still questioning. As many of you know, I had my first grandchild last year. Missing out on so many things and just the first year has really made me reevaluate a lot of things in my life. I love this business, and the industry. But the long-term effects have on your health, both mental and physical can be overwhelming.

Bad Betty’s Barbecue has been voted the second best Catering company and held in for several years in a row. We keep striving for number one, but it’s hard to beat the king… 😉😅

I love this restaurant, and all of our regular customers. But by spreading myself too thin between the restaurant and Catering both things have suffered. So, we are going to concentrate on the one thing, and do it to the absolute best of our ability.

But don’t fret yet! There will still be ways to get Bad Betty’s Barbecue in your life on a fairly regular basis. You can always order a catered lunch for a group. You don’t even need a reason to do this, just because it’s a Wednesday 😉. We will still pop up occasionally at events around town. AAAAANND soon you will be able to pre-order and pick up food on select days as.

i’ve seen a lot of Barbecue houses in the south move to this type of business model. With food costs soaring, and business slowing down all over, it’s what makes the most sense for us to be able to keep the doors open in some fashion. This could change in the future, but this is the plan for now

We have closed down the shop for today, Tuesday September 9th. But will be back open tomorrow at 11 AM. We will be serving lunch every day of our regular schedule 11 to 3 until September 19th.

When the DNRC calls and asks if you can feed 55 wild land firefighters, you pull everything you have together and you feed them!

After 2 painfully slow weeks it’s a welcome surprise to sell out early.

Remember kids, support your local restaurants and stores or someday they’ll be gone!

We’ll be back open tomorrow 11:00 - 3:00!

Tonight’s timeline and info:

Doors open at 5:00
A Buffett of pulled pork, Texas Trinity, sausage, nachos, slaw, beans, Esquites (Mexican Street Corn Salad), banana pudding and a few other options will be available at 5:00 until it’s all gone 😉

The Whitmore Sisters will be setup inside the restaurant and the show starts at 6:00. Get here early if you want a seat at a table!

Eleanor and Bonnie Whitmore are two of roots music’s most accomplished songwriter/ instrumentalist/ vocalists, and they were kind enough to stop off in Helena for an intimate evening at Bad Betty’s Barbecue on their way to start a tour, playing packed venues opening for the Wallflowers.

The music will roll down about 7:30 and we’ll end the night with a rib speed eating contest right out front on the sidewalk! Whoever clears and cleans a whole rack of ribs the fastest walks away with a $150 gift certificate. Everyone else gets 2consolation prizes: a free rack of ribs and the meat sweats

No entry fee for the show or the rib eating contest. Contest is limited to the first 10 people who sign up. We’re gonna be busy cooking and getting setup today so only accepting sign ups in person at Bad Betty’s Barbecue.
