New coffee hitting the shelves and it has a pretty cool story behind it with a Helena connection.

Grown by Mr. Elkin Arcila at his farm Puerto Arturo in Tamesis, Colombia at 6,200 ft, this honey processed Pink Bourbon is the result of a producer who’s deeply invested in experimentation, processing, and unique varietals. He grows, harvests, and processes coffees in thoughtful ways to create expressive lots and this one absolutely delivers. It pops with berry jam, tropical fruit, florals, and soft citrus🍓🌺🥭🍊

Big thanks to based right here in Helena for bringing in coffees like this. Owner Estela’s roots in Antioquia and relationships with producers in the region have brought some really great coffees for us over the past couple of years!

We’re planning on visiting Elkin this upcoming harvest season to learn, taste, and purchase more of his coffees for next year and hopefully many more to come!

Next week we’re hosting for Greater Helena Gives, presented by Helena Area Community Foundation!

Starting Monday, May 4, bring in diapers, pull-ups, or wipes and we’ll hook you up with a free drip coffee or tea. Win, win.

They’ll also have their nifty mobile trailer on-site, so you can check it out and chat with them about the incredible work they’re doing—not just here in Helena, but across the state.

Alex was one of us, could’ve been any of us, so as we mourn, all of us can come together in unity to remember Alex for what he was. A kind and caring soul put on this earth to be the light for others. Although his light has been extinguished by this fascist regime, it hasn’t been lost. If anything, those sparks fell and ignited something in us that’s been hiding all along. We are stronger together, and they can’t take us all. We’ve gathered together a community of cyclists to remember Alex Pretti. Please join in, near or far this Saturday, 1/31 1:00 PM Central Time

We really struggled with the decision in how we should support the national ICE OUT protests that feels right to us and have decided to keep our doors open to the community. We love having a safe space for community discourse and want to provide that to those who want it.

With that said, we also want to make a positive impact and have decided to donate 100% of our profits to help Roberto Orozco-Ramirez who was recently detained by ICE in Froid, MT. Orozco was by all accounts a model citizen, neighbor, father, and business owner beloved in his community with a family that will need help navigating this situation. We’ve been in contact with friends and neighbors of the Orozco family to make sure all proceeds go directly to them and Roberto’s legal fees. We are happy to accept any additional donations on your behalf and will also have a Venmo account available that will go directly to Orozco’s legal counsel.

To keep our space looking nice we’ll be closed tomorrow (Wednesday 1/13) to run through our growing checklist and perform some annual equipment maintenance to keep things tasty.

Thanks for supporting us and all of the business in downtown Helena this holiday season. We’ve definitely noticed all of the love downtown this month and it truly makes a significant impact for so many of us.
