ATTN: LONG GLUTEN-FREE POST 🥰
I have a daughter and a granddaughter who both have celiac disease. I was so sad watching my daughter completely eliminate gluten from her diet. It was a HUGE adjustment, and I quickly realized just how difficult it was to change the way one has to cook, bake, and enjoy food the way she used to.

I’ve always loved cooking and baking, but gluten-free baking? That was a whole different animal! 😂
When my granddaughter was also diagnosed with a gluten intolerance at the age of 8, her tears broke my heart completely!!! Their family comes for dinner often (since they live next door haha) and I knew I needed to figure out how to make the same foods we all love so they could still enjoy family meals—and, most importantly, DESSERT! ❤️
Then began the experimenting…UGH!

LOTS of trial and error. LOTS of failed recipes. And thankfully, LOTS of successes too!
But when it came to MALASADAS… let’s just say there were WAY more errors than I care to admit. 😂🍩
BUT BY GOLLY… I FINALLY DID IT!!! 🎉

I’ll be the first to admit that I still don’t think gluten-free tastes quite as good as the original (sorry, GF friends! 😂), BUT when my granddaughter gave these 5 STARS… my happy dance officially made an appearance! 💃🏻🥰

And THIS is why I am SOOO excited to finally share our GLUTEN-FREE MALASADAS with you!!! 🌺🍩

A little disclaimer: Wiki-Licious is a franchise, and these gluten-free malasadas are NOT part of their official recipes. This is a recipe we developed specifically for our family, and it is daughter-, granddaughter-, and Cottage Food license-approved! ❤️

Our gluten-free malasadas are prepared in a kitchen where gluten is regularly used. We take special care to thoroughly clean our equipment and work surfaces and take precautions to minimize the risk of cross-contamination. (However, be advised that gluten is present in our kitchen)
