Restored to its 1940s elegance, it is now a mighty fine restaurant called the Southern Belle. True to its southern roots, the Southern Belle serves some of the best boneless fried chicken breast and "fixins" you ha

ve ever tasted. An authentic train car… Oklahoma’s best fried chicken strips… Homemade candy cheesecakes…
This is the experience of the Southern Belle Restaurant. The Southern Belle Restaurant is a 1905 model railcar that has been restored to a lovely little restaurant with the most amazing and savory home cooking. What is most surprising about this train car is the spaciousness and its ability to hold about 50 diners at one time. But the most amazing thing about this little jewel of a restaurant is the food. “The restaurant is most famous for its Southern Belle chicken.” The chicken is boneless strips that are marinated, breaded and deep fried and served with their famous house dipping sauce. On the menu you’ll find tasty steaks, burgers, fish, sandwiches and pork chops, all prepared in a down-home fashion. A slice of delicious homemade pie is the perfect ending to a perfect meal. The Southern Belle restaurant is one dining experience you won’t want to miss. Are you a train buff? The world is full of them, and many have been aware of the beautiful Sothern Belle, a passenger train of the Kansas City Southern Railway. Owned by Arthur Stillwell, the engines first came to Heavener in 1896, powered by coal and steam. The Southern Belle, known as the “Sweetheart of American trains,” beginning in September 1940 rolled on an established schedule between Kansas City and New Orleans, a distance of 868 miles, in 21 ½ hours. Many people were saddened when this passenger train with its luxurious journey was discontinued in November, 1969. But some local train buffs resurrected and refurbished an actual passenger car of the Southern Belle, a car originally built in 1905, to become the Southern Belle Restaurant at Heavener, Oklahoma which still remains an important 100-mile “Division point” of the KCS Railway.

🚨😂 OFFICIAL SOUTHERN BELLE ANNOUNCEMENT 😂🚨

Today is 6-7-26, which means it is the rare and highly celebrated holiday known as “67 Day!”

What is 67, you ask?

Nobody really knows. 🤷‍♂️

Patricia says it’s a secret code.
Courtney says it’s a lifestyle.
The kitchen says it’s how many times they heard customers ask, “What’s for dessert?”
And the pie case says it’s how many slices disappeared before lunch. 🥧

All we know is when the calendar lines up as 6-7-26, you’re legally required to smile, laugh, eat something homemade, and randomly tell someone “67!” with complete confidence. 😆

So if you see Patricia and Courtney walking around saying “67” to each other today, don’t worry. They’re not confused. They’re celebrating one of the most important made-up holidays of the year.

Happy 67 Day from all of us at Southern Belle Restaurant! 🎉

6-7-26.
67.
It makes absolutely no sense… and that’s exactly why we love it. 🤣🚂❤️

Open today from 11 AM to 9 PM!
Come celebrate 67 with us… whatever it is! 😜🍔🥧☕️

⚠️ WEATHER ALERT FROM SOUTHERN BELLE RESTAURANT ⚠️

After careful investigation, we’ve discovered that Patricia and Madison have officially been promoted from servers to Certified Storm Chasers. 🌧️🌪️

Reports indicate they were last seen battling 40 mph winds, dodging flying napkins, and protecting homemade pie with their lives. Witnesses claim Patricia wrestled a rain cloud into submission while Madison negotiated a peace treaty with a frog that demanded extra ranch dressing. 🐸☔

The good news? The storm didn’t stand a chance.

The bad news? The rain gear budget may never recover. 🤣

No matter what Mother Nature throws our way, we’re still serving up homemade food, fresh desserts, and plenty of Southern hospitality right here in Heavener!

🚂 Open Thursday through Sunday
🕚 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM

🚂🥧 ALERT! The pies are flying off the shelves again!

When Leslea goes into Triple Pie Spinner mode, strawberry pies and cheesecakes don’t stand a chance. One minute they’re in the pie case, the next minute they’re headed to your table! 😄

Come see why our homemade desserts keep disappearing so fast. We have a feeling Leslea might have something to do with it!
