Whew! What a day! 🍦☀️

Today we had the privilege of serving the amazing teams at both Golden Peanut facilities in Headland before heading off to two wonderful daycare centers, Building Blocks and Ridgecrest Child Development Center.

Building Blocks has been supporting our little family business for over a year now, and we are always so thankful for the opportunity to serve their families and staff. ❤️

Between the two Golden Peanut locations, Building Blocks, and Ridgecrest, we handed out hundreds of treats, shared countless smiles, and made lots of sweet memories along the way.

To say we’re thankful would be an understatement.

Unfortunately, the Southeast Alabama heat and humidity officially won today. 😅 After spending the day serving in the heat, this mama is completely worn out and the truck will be parked for the evening.

As much as I’d love to be jingling through neighborhoods tonight, days packed with corporate events and daycare visits often mean the truck needs a little rest once the afternoon is over.

Unless, of course, we find the perfect route driver. 🤔🍦

Requirements include:
• A genuine love for the ice cream truck experience
• The ability to radiate positive vibes
• A willingness to wave at every excited child (and plenty of adults!)
• Understanding that hearing the jingle still brings joy no matter your age
• Believing that some of life’s sweetest memories are made standing beside an ice cream truck

Thank you to Golden Peanut, Building Blocks, Ridgecrest, and every single person who supports Missy Mae’s Snack Shack. We never take it for granted, and days like today remind us just how blessed we are to do what we do.

No better way to kick off the week than with a sweet treat from the ice cream truck! 🍦

I know a lot of y’all were hoping to hear the jingle rolling through town yesterday because I had several messages asking where we were! I so wish I could have answered your calls and requests yesterday.

Most of you know me as the ice cream lady, but many don’t realize I also work as a government contractor. Job duties called yesterday, so the truck had to stay parked.

The good news? We’ll be back in action tonight! 🚚🎶

Keep an ear out for the jingle, and hopefully we’ll see lots of smiling faces this evening. ❤️🍦

One of my favorite things about this business is getting to be part of moments that make people smile.

Most days are busy. We’re rushing from one thing to the next, checking boxes and moving on to whatever comes next.

Then a treat shows up.

For just a few minutes, people stop what they’re doing. They laugh, tell stories about chasing the ice cream truck as kids, and enjoy something simple.

That’s what I love bringing to neighborhoods, schools, ballfields, and now local businesses.

Sometimes a little sweetness goes a long way. ❤️🍦

🍦⚾️ Ballfield thoughts from the ice cream truck tonight…

I know you can buy a whole box of ice cream at the grocery store for the price of one or two treats from a truck.

But a box from the grocery store doesn’t make a kid’s eyes light up when they hear the jingle.

It doesn’t create the excitement of running over with a few dollars clutched in their hand after a ball game.

It doesn’t become the treat they talk about on the ride home.

An ice cream truck has never really been about ice cream.

It’s about summer evenings.
It’s about little league games.
It’s about celebrating a good hit, forgetting a tough loss, and making memories with your family.

Tonight I watched tired ballplayers, sweaty siblings, proud parents, and happy grandparents all gather around the truck for a few minutes of simple joy.

And honestly? That’s my favorite part of this job. ❤️🍦

🍦✨ It’s funny how differently my children experience the ice cream truck than I did. ✨🍦

As a little girl, the ice cream truck felt almost magical to me. 💙 The ice cream man seemed larger than life, and the whole experience felt like something out of a storybook. ✨

My kids don’t experience it that way.

To them, it’s just Mom’s truck. 🚚🍦

They know where it goes at the end of the day. They know where the ice cream comes from. They’ve helped stock it, cleaned it, ridden thousands of miles in it, and played inside it when it’s parked in the driveway. 😊

They don’t get to experience the mystery of the ice cream truck.

Instead, they get to experience the magic of creating it. ✨💕

Today, my four-year-old was playing “ice cream lady” and proudly served me a Dubai Chocolate Magnum. 🍫🍦💙

And maybe that’s its own kind of childhood magic—getting a front-row seat to the smiles, excitement, and joy that an ice cream truck brings to other families. 🥰🍦✨
