The next LCO Elders Association meeting will be held on:

Thursday, June 11, 2026
10:30 AM
Conference Center at Seven Winds Casino

Our guest speaker will be Sue Taylor, LCO Chief of Police.

Please note the change in meeting date and location. The meeting has been moved because the GLNAEA – Great Lakes Native American Elders Association gathering will be held June 3 & 4, and many of our members will be attending.

We invite all Elders Association members, and those interested in joining, to come be part of the conversation, connection, and community.

Bring a friend, share the reminder, and join us at Seven Winds Casino on June 11.

⚠️ Meeting Cancelled – Thursday, April 2

Due to the severe weather expected tomorrow, the Elders Association has decided to cancel the meeting scheduled for Thursday, April 2.

Your safety is important to us, and we encourage everyone to stay safe and avoid unnecessary travel during the storm.

We will share updates soon regarding the next meeting date.

When we shared that **Koobie's Coffee** needed a little help continuing their tradition of gifting **$50 to each graduating student from Lac Courte Oreilles Ojibwe School**, the community stepped up in an incredible way.

Your donations, encouragement, and willingness to give mean that **every graduating student will receive their gift this year.**

This simple act carries a powerful message to our graduates:
*Your community believes in you. We’re proud of you. And we’re cheering you on as you take the next step in life.*

🎓☕ Let’s Celebrate Our LCO Graduates Together ☕🎓

For years, Koobie's Coffee has quietly and faithfully donated $50 to every graduating student from Lac Courte Oreilles Ojibwe School.

It’s more than money.
It’s a handshake.
A “we see you.”
A “we’re proud of you.”

This year, we have 35 graduates. That’s 35 young men and women stepping into their next chapter.

Koobie’s has always given from the heart, but after a season of heavy Christmas giving, they simply haven’t fully recovered financially. When I mentioned this to someone in the community, they said:

“If you can raise some donations, I’ll match them.”

So here we are.

If you are able, please consider donating to help us continue this tradition. Let’s make sure every graduate knows their community stands behind them.

No gift is too small and will be MATCHED. Every dollar says, You matter. Your future matters.
