Greetings friends! This will be my final post for the year and a status update. I have prostate cancer and I’m taking drugs to shrink it which zaps my energy so no cooking. I’m set to start at MD Anderson Feb 13. Prayers appreciated, God’s will be done. Thank you for your prayers and for being my customers. I have enjoyed sharing my BBQ with you, it’s been great! I may be back, we will see…. God bless you😁

Better news!! I’m feeling better, responding to treatments tho. I can’t do the long hours cooking right now but I have a good supply of smoked baby back ribs, pulled pork and brisket available. You can order what you need for the holidays to just heat and eat. Meats are vacuum sealed for great flavor and stability. Full racks only on ribs, brisket & pork by full pounds only. I’m looking at this blank screen unsure of how to say this but the truth usually works so here goes:
I have been diagnosed with cancer. I am forming a battle plan to fight it and I’ll need all my resources to do this. We won’t be open for the month of December. No hams & turkeys, no BBQ. Hopefully I can come back but it’s in God’s sweet hands. Thank you!

If y’all like our food and our service and our smiling faces won’t you please recommend us to your friends? This is a tough time for small businesses, especially a true Mom & Pop operation like Smokin King! Cost of meat, inflation of EVERYTHING, loss of customer’s discretionary buying power and uncertainty in planning ability add up to a rough outlook, but you know what? I put my faith not in the government nor the uncertain future but in the Lord. He has not let me down yet, I don’t get all I ask for or all I want but I have all I need.

We will be at Bellevue 11-7 Saturday for folks to pickup orders and we will have extra vacuum sealed heat and eat meat and fixings for Sunday. Plus we have our full menu available. We are so thankful for our devoted customers that make us successful.
