It’s time to spend your October outside! Your goal: hike 46 miles, visit 3 Trail Communities, and enjoy a whole month of adventure.

Whether you’re a meticulous planner or more of a “let’s see where the Trail takes me” kind of hiker, you do you! Along the way, enjoy Trail Magic from nearly 170 Ice Age Trail Community businesses, discover Hometown Highlights, earn bonus miles by attending October events and more, and take in Wisconsin’s fall colors.

📖☕️Monday Moment in the Word ☕️📖

“Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy.” — Exodus 20:8

I think sometimes we forget that God doesn’t just call us to work hard… He also calls us to rest.

In Genesis, we see that God Himself rested on the seventh day after creating the heavens and the earth. Not because He was tired or needed to recover, but because He intentionally set that day apart. Then, in Exodus, He gives us that same invitation: Remember the Sabbath. Keep it holy.

In a world that constantly tells us to hustle, accomplish more, answer the message, finish the list, and keep going, God says, “Remember.”

Remember to slow down.
Remember where your strength comes from.
Remember that your worth isn’t measured by how much you accomplish.
Remember that you were created to need rest.
And most importantly, remember to spend time with Me in that rest.

Sabbath isn’t about being lazy or simply checking out. It’s about intentionally making room for God. It’s a reminder that the world keeps turning even when we stop trying to hold everything together.

Maybe rest is more than just taking a break from our responsibilities. Maybe it’s an opportunity to draw closer to the One who gave us the ability to work in the first place.

Rest can be an act of trust. When we pause, worship, and spend time with God, we’re reminded that He is still in control — even when we aren’t doing anything.

So this week, let’s remember. 🤍

Remember to rest.
Remember to make space for God.
Remember that we don’t have to constantly strive.

He created rest. He modeled rest. And He invites us into it.

📖☕️ Monday Moment in the Word📖☕️

“And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” — Matthew 28:20

Have you ever had one of those moments where you just wish you could see what God was doing?

Maybe you’re waiting on an answer. Maybe you’re making a decision. Maybe things feel a little uncertain, and you’re wondering, “God, where are You in all of this?”

I think sometimes we mistake God being quiet for God being absent.

But Matthew 28:20 reminds us of something so simple and so powerful: He is with us. Always.

His presence doesn’t depend on whether we can feel it. It doesn’t disappear when our prayers seem unanswered. And it doesn’t mean everything will always make sense.

Sometimes His presence looks like peace we can’t quite explain.
Sometimes it looks like strength we didn’t know we had.
Sometimes it’s simply the grace to take the next step when we don’t know where the road is leading.

We don’t have to figure everything out today. We don’t have to know what tomorrow holds.

We can simply hold onto this promise:

Wherever we go, whatever we face, and whatever season we’re in—God is already there.

And honestly, that’s pretty good news to carry with us. 🤍

He is with us. Always. 🙏
