From the very beginning, community has been at the heart of Roast’d. More than just serving great coffee, our mission has always been to create a space that brings people together and supports the communities we’re proud to be part of.

Same coffee. Same recipe. One variable changed: grind size.

Too fine, and the cup can turn bitter, dry, and over-extracted. Too coarse, and it can taste sour, thin, and underdeveloped. Somewhere in between is the sweet spot—where sweetness, acidity, and clarity all come into balance.

For this experiment, we brewed the same coffee across different grind sizes to show just how much one small adjustment can change the final cup.

Dialing in isn’t about finding one “perfect” setting. It’s about tasting, adjusting, and learning what brings out the best in the coffee.
