Wow. Just like that it is Thursday. I feel like I haven't posted in a few days. Luckily we have a great staff and even better customers who pretty much know all of what we do each day of the week anyways. Thank goodness for all of you!

Today is Thursday, that means Pizza (deep dish and round), all cooked to order - customized however you like. Homemade dough, never frozen. Hand tossed and never burnt. The absolute best pizza deals in town. Trust me.

Tonight is Trivia night with Sporcle Host Frank. Who are the winning teams going to be this week???

Wow. It's Monday and what a weekend it was! From sports, to catering with JSP Catering to unbelievable days/nights at the Pub.

A great victory by the Lions yesterday, quite a few upsets in college football on Saturday, and the World Series playoffs are under way.

As I was telling a friend/customer yesterday when they asked if we were relaxing after a busy day on Saturday, days for rest in the restaurant business are on Mondays or Tuesdays or Wednesdays if you are lucky. Weekends are given to the customers and the business at large. And I wouldn't have it any other way. Sure, every once in a while, it would be nice to have a Saturday or Sunday off (and it does happen so don't feel sorry for us), but the norm is to work the weekends and slow down a bit during the week whenever possible. Five years ago, I never even thought I would be here or able to do anything that I'm doing today, let alone help run a family business, grow with our awesome community and help quite a few people/families with their livelihood too. It's a pretty good feeling so I'll take long weekends at work any day!

Today being Monday, we have our famous $2.50 JSP Sliderz all day and night. We also have our Happy Hour pricing from 11am to 6pm along with other great drink specials. Get mini b**rs today all day/night for only $3. And ALL INDUSTRY WORKERS get 50% off their entire bill tonight starting at 6:00 pm until close.

Happy Sunday all. It appears that the sunshine ran out and Mother Nature is giving us a bit of a cleansing today. That's okay, we need it.

Our Detroit Lions play today at 4:25. Get out of the rain and come watch with us here at the Pub. Shelby is here during the day today and Tammy, Tracie & Katelynn will be here to take care of you during the game and after.

We NEVER shy away from sharing prices. And please note that our Happy Hour pricing is Monday through Friday from 11:00 am until 6:00 pm. NO, we don't do Happy Hour on Saturdays or Sundays as we ALWAYS have other drink specials on the weekends, especially during football season.

So, as requested:

-Well drinks (gin, vodka, tequila, rum, wh***ey & bourbon) are all $3.50 (Happy Hour pricing is $2.75).

-Domestic draft b**rs are served in a frosted 16 oz glass and are only $3.25 (Happy Hour pricing is
$2.75).

-16 oz cans of domestic b**rs are $3.50, including Yuengling and Michelob Ultra as well as Ultra Zero (Happy Hour pricing is $2.75).

-12 oz bottles of domestic b**rs are $3.25 all day, every day.

(Yes, for those of you actually paying attention I recognize that a 12 oz bottle of b**r is more expensive than a 16 oz draft or can during Happy Hour. Some things just are the way they are. Order as you like.)

-Imported b**r prices vary by brand, BUT ALL Mexican b**rs are only $3 on Wednesdays along with our $3 Tequilas, $4 full-sized Margaritas and $5 Spanish Coffees. Mexican Wednesday prices are good all day and night on Wednesdays.

-Franzia wines are $4.00 (Happy Hour pricing is $3.25).

-Black Box wines are $5.25 (Happy Hour pricing is $4.75).

-Frozen slush machine drinks are $6.50 all day, every day.

-Daily shot and drink specials change every day. Check the boards or ask your waitress/bartender.

-50% off for all Industry workers on Monday nights from 6pm to close.

-Finally, like most places that have any sort of entertainment, we DO have a $1 weekend entertainment upcharge from 9:00 pm until close on both Friday and Saturday nights.

Best damn oatmeal cookies anywhere! I grew up on these and still request them as often as I can. My mom's recipe (although I think it was originally a 1970's Betty Crocker recipe or maybe even off the back of a box of Kellogg's Corn Flakes 🤷). Wherever the recipe originated, they are still my favorite cookie to this day - especially if you underbake them just a smidge!

What a beautiful Saturday morning thus far. Cool crisp Fall air but the sun is shining and it's looking to be a great day for any outdoor plans.

No Michigan football today (good thing too, they need more practice) but Michigan State plays Illinois at 3:30. The best game of the day might be Indiana vs Nebraska at 12:00. And of course, the girls' team from Ohio State pays Maryland at 4:15.

Then the night games are Penn State at 7:30 and Minnesota vs Purdue at 8:00 pm.

Today we have all your normal drink specials with a number of $3 drinks. More importantly, we have all our frozen Fall drinks, our Fall Drink menu and our BUCKETS FOR BO***ES! All buckets are $11 - every day and all month (a portion of the proceeds are donated to support Breast Cancer Awareness)!

(Speaking of mashed potatoes, is anyone else with me on actually liking instant mashed potatoes? I grew up with them, and I really do like them. You can fancy them up any way you like by adding cream cheese, sour cream, roasted garlic, etc. to amp up the flavor. I don't know why, but I usually prefer them - and yes, I know that we are a restaurant and I know that RJ makes some of the best homemade mashed potatoes around. Heck, we have several customers that come in and just order trays of his mashed potatoes for their parties. 3 trays went out Thursday this week to one customer, and we have another 7 trays going out to a charity function in November)

Perhaps the best treat of the day is we have Jodi making a rare Saturday morning/afternoon appearance while Mandi is at her boys' football games: the Madison Heights Wolverines (and yes, the wear the Maize 'n Blue uniforms and helmets. How cool is that!)

FIELD TRIP!!!

Okay, well maybe not for everyone but Jefferson Street Pub is at School Field Day today at Parcell’s Middle School in Grosse Pointe Woods.

Getting ready to feed up to 700 kids 😳😳.

We are also joined by Playa Bowls, The Little Donut Factory, and Circle T.

It’s gonna me a fun day. Perfect weather.

At the Pub, it’s Fish Fry Friday. We have Broiled Whitefish as a special today along with our regular fish dinners. And of course, we have our Clam Chowder as well.
