Some very lucky employees and customers at Jefferson Street Pub are enjoying some of these most delicious treats from The Honeybee Baker today. I see their posts often and always say "someday, I have to get out there." And then I saw their post about their second oven dying on them yesterday.
Well, fate would have it that I was having a lunch meeting at New York Deli in the very same plaza today. I walked out and saw the bakery and knew it was a sign. I walked in, bought way more than anyone ever should be seen walking out of a bakery with when they are by themselves (I swear, I bought for others), and was very impressed by everything I saw from the customer service, the displays and of course the food. I ended up with a dozen gourmet cupcakes (more like muffin sized), a dozen cookies, a half dozen pieces of cheesecake and of course, who can pass up Banana Pudding! And I'm not embarrassed to say that the first Brown Butter Chocolate Chip cookie didn't even make it out of the parking lot. Yum! All very reasonably priced I might add.
Anyway, I hope others have a chance to go show them some love as well. So, sooooo many great restaurants, bakeries, coffee shops and other small businesses that make our communities great - The Honeybee Baker is one of them. Check them out when you can.
Someone let me know when they come out with a sugar free bakery, please!! 😁
