🔥📖 CARRY THE LOAD.

Sometimes the fire gets too hot. Sometimes the load gets too heavy. And sometimes, we need somebody to pull up a chair and help us through it.

Galatians 6:2–5 reminds us of something we can’t afford to forget: we are called to carry one another’s burdens, but we’re also responsible for carrying the load God has given us.

Don’t spend your life comparing your cook to somebody else’s. Their fire isn’t your fire. Their assignment isn’t your assignment. Their journey isn’t your journey.

Be faithful with what God has put in front of you.

And when somebody beside you is struggling? Don’t just watch their fire go out. Pull up a chair. Help carry the load.

That’s more than barbecue.

That’s Bibles & Barbecue. 🔥📖

🔥 BREAK UP THE GROUND. TEND THE FIRE. TRUST THE HARVEST. 🌱

Good barbecue doesn’t happen by accident.

You prepare the pit. Build the fire. Tend the coals. Watch the temperature. Trust the process.

And according to Hosea 10:12, our walk with God is no different.

“Break up your unplowed ground. It is time to seek the LORD…”

Sometimes before God brings a harvest, He has to work on the soil of our hearts. Pride. Bitterness. Sin. Distraction. Self-reliance. Things we’ve allowed to harden over time.

So maybe today isn’t about asking God for a bigger harvest.

Maybe it’s about asking Him to prepare the ground.

🔥 Tend the fire.
📖 Stay in the Word.
🙏 Seek the Lord.
🌱 Sow righteousness.
⏳ Trust the process.

Because just like barbecue, God is working even when we can’t see the finished product yet.

Stay faithful. Stay patient. Keep the fire burning.

Low & slow isn’t just a way to cook. It’s a way to follow Jesus.

🔥 So… what does HBG mean? 🔥

I’ve been asked by quite a few different people recently, “What does HBG mean in Holy Smokes BBQ HBG?”

Well, I promise it’s not some cryptic message, secret BBQ code, or some deep spiritual meaning. 😂

It’s actually pretty simple…

HBG = Harrisburg, PA. ❤️

Harrisburg is the region I call home, and it’s where this whole BBQ journey has been taking place. From backyard cooks and pop-ups to sharing BBQ, Bibles, and good conversations with people right here in Central PA, this area has become a huge part of the Holy Smokes BBQ story.

So when you see Holy Smokes BBQ HBG, think Harrisburg BBQ.

It represents where I live, the people I get to cook for, the community that continues to support this crazy BBQ adventure, and the place I’m proud to call home.

There’s nothing complicated behind the name.

Just good BBQ, good people, and a whole lot of smoke coming out of HBG. 🔥

And honestly… I think that’s pretty cool.

Y’ALL… GOD IS ON THE MOVE IN MIDDLETOWN! 🙌🔥

Week one: 3 people.
Week three: 18 people around the Table.

And honestly? I’m still trying to wrap my head around what God is doing.

Luongo BBQ came into my life at a time when I didn’t even realize how much I needed it. I thought I was just stepping into a BBQ joint… but God had something completely different in mind.

Then came Bibles & Barbecue. 📖🔥

Good food. Real conversations. Open Bibles. And people gathering around a table to talk about Jesus.

That’s what this is all about.

It’s not about numbers. It’s about people. It’s about community. It’s about making room at the Table for whoever walks through the door.

And I truly believe God is just getting started.

Middletown, there’s a seat for you at the Table. ❤️
