Good morning 🤍

It’s Thursday and I still have A LOT to do.

I have invoices to get sent, orders to finish, messages to answer and about 47 things running through my mind. So if you’re waiting on me, thank you for being patient.

We are officially in PEAK SEASON over here and while I’m truly grateful for it I’m also just one person running this whole show. I’m the baker, decorator, customer service, delivery driver, dishwasher…you name it. Add a family and one chaotic mind to the mix and here we are.

I do sometimes squeeze in last minute orders when I can but this week I’ve already had to turn down a few cookie orders simply because I’m at capacity.

So here’s your little reminder: BOOK AHEAD.

I will ALWAYS do my best to squeeze you in when I can but during busy season do book early.
Thank you for keeping The Dough House busy.
Now let me get back to work.

The Sopranos is one of my ultimate favorites shows of all time. And I’ve been waiting for someone to order anything to do with the Sopranos.
Now I’m just missing a cookie set.

-Currently decorated 10 dozen cookies.
I’m on cake number 4 right now.
It’s barely Tuesday and I’ve got some much done. Started yesterday at 9am and back to baking right now.

Sunday.

The day I reflect on everything.
The day I want life to slow down just a little.
And for many of us probably the day the overthinking kicks in.

Life has a way of moving fast and bringing out the best and the worst in us. And while baking is something I truly love, there’s days when life gets in the mix. When I don’t feel it I just won’t. I’ve learned to give myself grace to be okay with that.

But then there are days I walk into The Dough House, turn on the oven, make a mess, create something beautiful and remember exactly why I love what I do.

So today I just want to say thank you.

Thank you for every order.
Every repeat order.
Every message, share, like, and recommendation.
Thank you for trusting me with your celebrations, birthdays, milestones and all the little moments in between.

Every order helps keep this little Dough House going and I appreciate it more than you’ll ever know.

Here’s to slowing down, appreciating where we are and letting life unfold one day at a time.
