For 3 years now since taking over, y’all have welcomed Harlem Java House into your routines, y’all’s conversations, celebrations, coffee dates, & even y’all’s Sundays. & because you’ve supported us so generously, we wanted to share this news with y’all directly, especially those of you who have made Sunday mornings at The Java House part of your weekly rhythm.

🧡 Beginning in July 2026, Harlem Java House will be closed on Sundays. 🧡

This wasn’t a business decision. In fact, Sundays have become one of our busiest days, which also means we would be taking a loss.

But over the past several months, Sang and I have felt increasingly convicted to honor a weekly Sabbath and trust God with what happens when we do. As business owners, that’s not always an easy decision, but we believe it’s the right one for our family, our team, and this season of life.

One of the lessons we’ve been learning is that not everything depends on us. Sometimes the most faithful thing we can do is step back, abide, and trust God with the rest. We don’t know exactly what the future holds, but we’re excited to follow where He leads!

Thank you for supporting our family, our team, and this little coffee shop in Harlem. Thank you for your understanding, and thank you for helping us build something far greater than a business.

Starting this July, we’ll be open Monday through Saturday only.

But!!! Best believe that when those doors open each morning, we’ll still be here doing what we’ve always loved doing: to serve all people well and continue creating a place that feels good to be home!!!!!! 🧡🥺

Another quaint little Harlem Market is happening this Saturday, and we can’t wait. 🌞🌽

Come stroll around, support your neighbors, and sip your way through our new summer menu, The Great American Summer. It’s giving small-town America in the best way possible.

Now for our tiny crisis…

We still have a few vendor spots left for fresh PRODUCE or anything from the land! 🥲

We’ve emailed folks, asked around, and are dangerously close to wandering into people’s backyards whispering, “Got any tomatoes?” 🫪

If you grow fruits or vegetables and would like to join us, email [email protected]! And if you know someone with a garden that’s working overtime this summer, tag them below.

It’s raining outside. You’re wrapped in a blanket. This breakfast tray magically appears at your bedside. The smell of croffle covered maple syrup, bacon, and delicious coffee hits you first. You take a bite and immediately forgive everyone who’s ever wronged you. 😌

Yall… apologies for the very late update!! Our Market and BBQ are officially done and the new menu is officially here. The sweepstakes has also ended and we will draw the winner by end of day tomorrow, 6/14!

We can’t thank you enough for showing up today and supporting not just the shop, but all the other small businesses from all over the CSRA set up out in this GA HEAT!!! 🥵

We prepped sooooo much, literally filled the shop as much as we could, even went home at 1am, yet we still sold out of so many items by 11:30am 🫣 You guys sure do know how to make us feel so loved and valued!!!

We always tell our team that we could be selling anything out here, but if it’s not done with love then it’s just not worth putting out there. We hope you felt so loved by us as we stumble along the new rhythms of this new menu. As always, we will continue to strive for excellence, not just in our products but within ourselves and as a team so that we can serve each and every single one of you better than ever each day!!!

We are humbled by you! Forever and ever so very grateful!!! Here’s to another Great American Summer!!!!!!! LET’S GOOOO!!!!! (Gonna stop here before I cry happy tears hehe) 🧡🧡🧡
