Sadly Big John passed away in July 2012 after his battle with cancer. Some of our customers favorites are the Fresh Smoked Ribs every Friday, our famous Chicken Fried Chicken, farm raised Fried Catfish, Hardy Cheese Fries, Fried Green Tomatoe, and lots of breakfast plates. I don't have the words for this post but my heart is completely shattered with the pain. It hurts so damn bad. I'm angry, I'm loss, I feel gutted. My dad sent this man to me and our time was cut short. We had so much more life to live, so many more trips around the dance floor and so much more love to make. I'm so glad I got to experience the truest and most pure love by him. I'll forever love you, Brian Wallingsford. Fly high, hunny pie. I'll miss you terribly. God only takes the best.

With Father's day tomorrow, I wanted to share happy news- my husband, Brian, adopted Luke yesterday!!!! Luke will be 17 on Monday for those that don't remember. He was only 3 mos old when we opened Downhome and provided lots of entertainment and laughs until we moved to CO in 2015. Happy Father's Day to all those filling a child's heart with love.

Because everyone loves love - 7.5 years after leaving Arkansas, I finally got my happily ever after. 10-1-22 marked the 5 year anniversary of us surviving the Route 91 shooting in Las Vegas so we decided to make it into our wedding date. So thankful my mom and several Downhome girls joined us in Colorado for the occasion. I know dad was smiling down on me as I walked out to "Keeper of the stars".

With heavy hearts, we learned today that one of our Downhome girls lost a battle she'd been fighting for a few years. She was a beautiful spit fire that got us thru many busy summers and easily fit in to become part of our family.

Huge thank you to all the firemen and first responders. Please keep us and our employees in your prayers. This hurts us tremendously.
