The HHS History Collection contains a number of artificial Christmas trees which were used to celebrate special occassions and to showcase various aspects of a small town like Hapeville. The large tree that is shown in this picture, along with the oversized ornaments and a carrying case, is looking for a new home. The size can be seen from this picture which shows the tree in front of the bay window in the depot main room. Anyone interested in the tree and assessories would need to be able to pick it up. A donation to the Hapeville Historical Society would be welcome but is not necessary.

This month, the Southern Circuit Tour of Independent Filmmakers is screening "Mama Bears," an intimate, thought-provoking exploration of the journeys taken by two mothers whose profound love for their LGBTQ children turned them into fierce advocates for the entire q***r community. This screening will be held at Jess Lucas Y-Teen Park in Hapeville on 3/17, with a reception at 6 pm and the film starting at 7 pm. This is a FREE event, so join us in listening, learning, and celebrating "Mama Bears!"

Coming this Saturday Hapeville Main Street will once again host exhibits from Atlanta Celebrates Photography. Exhibits will be on display from 5-9p at the Depot Museum Gallery, Gallery 3510 inside the Methodist Church & the Two Container Art Galleries located at Jess Lucas Park & The Arts Alley. Bring Family & Friends to enjoy fine photography, music & local restaurants!
