This sweet couple came at lunch time during the Weekday when we have slices., 11-3. Obviously the order was to go, but as I was busy working I didn’t notice they sat down at the staffs table and were eating their Slices. I couldn’t tell them to get up and leave, they’re probably someone’s grandparents or great grandparents! I watched as they sat and actually Talked to each other, No Phones, No starring out the window. It was a real old fashioned lunch date.
When I was finally free I got a chance to speak to them and explain that we are carry out only and the table is for staff and family.
They apologize and tried to leave and I told them , “no ,you sit here and finish, I’m gonna get you a cannoli to share.” The lady was very excited about that! So they finished up and I helped them clean up. They thanked us for letting them stay and for the Great Pizza and Cannoli . I asked to take their photo to share but I didn’t get their names.
I just wanted to post this as a reminder to stop and have food with family, No Phones , just conversations, laughs and smiles and enjoy each other while you can.❤️
